The “Greek Mythology Series” of exaggerated allegories. In Greek mythology, Aphrodite is associated with love, lust, beauty, pleasure, passion and procreation. – Before ascending to Olympus, Aphrodite fell in love with Nerites, a young man of stunning beauty. She wanted the young man to go with her but Nerites refused because he was loved by Poseidon, and the feelings of two men for each other were mutual. When Aphrodite was refused by Nerites, in anger she turned the young man into a shellfish (snail).
